Federal Stimulus Weatherization Program |
| The Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) and the Department of Labor and Industry have established the certification process for contractors to become certified to participate in the weatherization program. At this time contractors experienced in weatherization can apply to be certified. Contractors should use the “Certification of Incumbent (current) Weatherization Workforce” application. Please note – on the application, each applicant should be very explicit and extensive regarding any years of work experience, companies worked for or owned, any certifications that the applicant may have received. By doing so, the contractor may be able to avoid the testing process. However, after submitting the application, if the applicant is told by the Department he or she needs to be tested, the member should contact PBA for testing information. The testing program is not complete at this time.
